The growing knowledge about the plants around us, their ecological and landscape importance and its varied uses, have increasingly awakened humanity to the fascination of plants. The natural habitat of Mediterranean Temporary Ponds offers a unique set of plants with high conservation status living under extreme environmental conditions throughout the year that alternate between immersion and drying phases.
In order to celebrate The Fascination of Plants Day 2015, we invited Carla Pinto Cruz, scientific coordinator of LIFE Charcos project, to guide us on a walking tour around this fascinating habitat.
Time: from 3pm to 6pm
Location: Parque de Campismo do SITAVA (near the restaurant), in Vila Nova de Milfontes, the coordinates are: 37º46'48"N 8º47'01"O
