> on the 27th of February in Odemira
The LIFE Charcos Project is about to start and will take place on February 27th (2014) the Public Presentation Session, which will take place in Odemira. This project aims to conserve the Mediterranean Temporary Ponds, which occur in the Southwest Coast of Portugal. This natural habitat is increasingly threatened because of its ecological fragility and ignorance of its natural value. The forms of land management, namely the intensification of industrialized agriculture and tourism, are one of the main and most recent factors in the decline of this habitat. So, on 27th of February, it will be an opportunity to get to know a little more about the interventions that were foreseen in this project to restore and promote the conservation of this important natural habitat that is so threatened, and about the unique biodiversity that is associated.
The Public Presentation Session will be held at the Auditorium of the Association of Beneficiaries of Mira (ABM), in Odemira, on February 27th, starting at 2pm.
Entrance is free.
