> The LIFE Charcos Project was on the TV, in the Verão Total program in RTP, alive from Sagres.

On August 24th, 2015, the LIFE Charcos Project was invited to attend a Portuguese TV show which is a entertainment program in the RTP channel.
During the program, the project's coordinator Arthur Lagartinho, from LPN – Liga para a Protecção da Natureza, spoke about the project, its purpose, the intervention area of the Project and the threats that the habitat faces.
Margarida Cristo, teacher at the University of Algarve and partner of the Project, spoke about the Triops vicentinus. This tadpole shrimp is associated with temporary ponds and only lives in this particular region. This fact could contribute to increase the ecological value of the region for wildlife tourism, sector that is so well promoted by the municipally and recognized nationally by the prize for the best municipally in Portugal due to its good environmental practices.
