> The LIFE Charcos Project was publicly presented to farmers, tourism promoters and civil society in Vila Nova de Milfontes.
The public presentation of LIFE Charcos took place on 11th of March 2015 in Vila Nova de Milfontes, at the borough Council building. It was organized by LPN and partners CMO and ABM.
The main goal of this session was to promote the importance of temporary ponds conservation and the biodiversity associated with them. The LIFE Charcos project is intervening in this southwestern region of Portugal to promote the protection of this special habitat which its conservation is threatened. With this session it was possible to share experiences, opinions and inquiries about the conservation of this habitat.
It also included a visit to a nearby temporary pond.
